One of the best things about Viking Var is its itineraries, which feature top European highlights both along the waterways and off them (accessible via bus rides into destinations like Salzburg or Munich, which are further afield). Food is excellent onboard, though if it's not quite authentic enough for you, you can always get tried and true insights and tips from the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
