Veendam greatly benefited from its 2009 refurb, which included significant architectural changes to allow for extra cabins, more spacious and atmospheric public areas, and the addition of balcony and spa cabins. The hallmark ambience of relaxed elegance remains, though with a livelier energy designed to tempt a younger crowd.
